Wedding 411
The Boogs and I have been thrust into the world of weddings this month, here are some things we've learned:
* It's ok to wear black to an evening wedding, but not a day wedding, get it straight!
* Get a map if you want to spend a minimum of 2 hours shopping at SouthCenter Mall (teflon vest optional)
* Perusing gift registeries is good entertainment (polka dot pots! It's funny right?!)
* Buy the rad dress you saw at that store 4 months ago even though you didn't have an occasion to wear it...its time will come
Chicago Art Museum wedding vs. Semiahmoo golf course wedding, who's gonna come out on top?? I would say only time will tell but I think the answer is clear.

Every so often
I am totally stoked on how technology is being used. Plus how cool is Google Earth on its own?

Fuzzy Cajones! (kinda)
One of my favorite stores in Ballard, The Palm Room, (5336 Ballard Avenue Northwest, 206-782-7256) is selling what will be my most beloved and cared for pet, Sorry Javi, a Marimo Ball! Next trip to Ballard I'm grabbing those hot PF Flyers at ReSole and adopting a Marimo Ball! Now I just have to think of a good name...
Chromeo Gets Sudzy With It . . .
"Having already courted baby boomers and college-bounders, the only demo left untapped for Dave 1 and P-Thugg are little children. And thanks to Nickelodeon, Chromeo may now tap your little children. The duo performed a ditty written for them by hip tot program Yo Gabba Gabba! in an effort to convince children of all ages to clean up all good and nice. Cute to see how naturally Chromeo's electrofunk lends itself to broadcasting nurturing messages to children. Chalk it up to a mixture of personality and adorable use of talkbox". (stereogum.com)

She'll school you
This may be on the corny side but I think it's the cutest thing ever. A 7 year old who wrote a report on feminism?! Awesome! A 7 year old who rolls around town with a skateboard on her back?! Awesome! A 7 year old who uses the phrase "I know!"?! Awesome!

Can you say attachment disorder? How about compromised relationships for the rest of your life?
Recently I learned that the Governor is planning on vetoing SB 5286, the WorkFirst Exemption bill. Please let your networks know so that we can get as many calls/emails to the Governor as possible asking her to SIGN THE BILL INTO LAW!
This bill allows new mothers receiving WorkFirst assistance to get an exemption from participating in welfare activities (like seeking work) for the first three months of their child's life. Otherwise, such non-participation would cause the individual to be "sanctioned" and potentially lose her state financial assistance at this critical time with her newborn child. Please contact Governor Gregoire TODAY and ask her to sign SB 5286!
Call 360-902-4111 or send an email on this webform.
